Nancy Reagan Pays Tribute to Griffin

Former first lady Nancy Reagan is one of the first people to pay tribute to the late Merv Griffin. Griffin died in hospital on Sunday. Reagan was a long time friend of the TV mogul and game show creator. She called his death “heartbreaking”. She released a statement praising Griffin’s wonderful friendship both before and after her husband Ronald Reagan died. She said that they had known him for more than fifty years. Griffin passed away after a battle with prostate cancer. It’s somewhat unnerving and uncomfortable to watch their generation slowly fade away. It’s a reminder of who is left behind and what we are left with. There is a lot more going on in the world than Hollywood and the ones who leave now may actually be the lucky ones. Every person that we see go that we thought would never go, should be a lesson in itself that there is more to life than glitz and glamour.
