Bono digs deep to save the planet — helping schoolchildren plant trees. The multi-millionaire U2 frontman was in Japan to talk at an international conference on development in Africa.
But he put on gloves and grabbed a spade to muck in with 100 pupils planting 480,000 trees at the 88-hectare Sea Forest project off Tokyo Bay.
Irishman Bono, 48, was given a hand by architect Tadao Ando — but there was no sign of U2 sidekick the Hedge…
