Farrah Fawcett and Ryan ONeal show tough love to troubled son
Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal are getting tough with their troubled son Redmond by refusing to post his bail.
Redmond O’Neal, 24, was arrested on drug charges Sunday as his mum Farrah Fawcett lay in a hospital bed battling cancer.
Police allege he was caught in possession of heroin while visiting a friend at a Los Angeles-area jail. The charge was a more serious felony crime because he had transported the drug onto jail property.
Prosecutors set his bail at $75,000 but according to reports Ryan O’Neal will refuse to help.
“Redmond won’t be leaving jail anytime soon,” a source close to the family said.
“Redmond could remain in custody until his next court date on April 24. His dad won’t be bailing him out.
“There is no chance that Redmond’s friends would be bailing him out either as they don’t have the financial capability to do so.”
Sunday’s arrest was the most recent in a string of drug-related arrests for O’Neal, who was already on bail for a drug arrest last year in a case involving his father.
