Jennifer Love Hewitt not engaged
Jennifer Love Hewitt, 30, and Jamie Kennedy, 39, squashed a report that they had got engaged.
A newspaper in New York reported that Kennedy had publicly asked for Hewitt to marry him while on stage at a comedy club in Long Beach, California.
But representatives for both actors said the report was false. “There is no truth to the report,” said a representative for Hewitt. “They are not engaged,” a rep for Kennedy said.
During Kennedy’s run at the Laugh Factory, he invited Hewitt to jump up on stage with him, where she also performed some comedy and a “beautiful song”.
At the end of Hewitt’s set, the audience started chanting “marry her, marry her”. Hewitt was previously engaged to Ross McCall.
