Fugitive TV contestant found dead in Canada
A reality-TV contestant wanted for the gruesome murder of his model ex-wife has been found dead, say Canadian police.
The body of Ryan Jenkins, 32, was discovered in a hotel room in Hope, British Columbia; he had been on the run more than a week.
It is believed he committed suicide by hanging himself, the Royal Canadian Mounted said.
Jasmine Fiore, 28, was found dead on August 15 in a suitcase left in a dumpster in Buena Park, Orange County, California.
Her fingers and teeth had been removed, and authorities had to identify her with the serial number on her breast implants.
Jenkins reported Fiore missing to police on Saturday night but quickly disappeared after making the call.
Jenkins’ BMW and boat were later found near the Canadian border, and authorities believed he fled to his home country, where there is no death penalty.
