Cameron Diaz says Knight & Day co-star Tom Cruise would be ‘best stuntman’
Cameron Diaz has said that her Knight & Day co-star Tom Cruise would be the ‘best stuntman’.
The 37-year-old actress has been shooting the movie with Cruise, 47, in Boston and it is the first time they have reunited on screen since their 2001 movie Vanilla Sky. The couple have been doing a lot of their own stunts.
Cruise said: “She’s done a 180 in a car – ‘65 GTO the other night. She does it. She’s a very good athlete. Very co-ordinated and excellent.”
Talking about their daring scenes, Diaz added: “Tom was on top of the car, and I’m inside the car going: ‘Ahhh! Ahhh!
“And he’s on the hood of the car flying through the air, you know, cabled to a car, jumping 20 feet across – I’m like: ‘I want an action scene, you guys!’
“‘I wanna fight! I wanna be on the hood of a car! Write it! Just write it in somewhere.’”
However, she said not to worry about her co-star Cruise as he can handle himself.
She said: “He is a professional stuntman. If he wasn’t Tom Cruise the movie star, he would be the best stuntman in the business. He’s phenomenal. What he does is, like, crazy.”
