Johnny Depp wants to turn teacher’s climate change novel into movie
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp reportedly wants to turn a teacher’s climate change novel into a big-screen movie.
The novel is called The Carbon Diaries 2015 and is written by British teacher Saci Lloyd. The book is written from the perspective of a London teacher and is an account of climate change and how she sees it.
It has been in the middle of a bidding war between Depp’s production company, Infinitum Nihil, and Company Pictures, who make UK TV shows Shameless and Skins.
Lloyd, 42, has already signed a TV deal with Company Pictures but is in talks with Depp’s company about a movie adaptation.
A sequel to the book, The Carbon Diaries 2017, is due out on January 6.
