Brad Pitt helped Bono celebrate his 48th birthday in Monaco over the weekend.
The ‘Fight Club’ star joined the U2 frontman and his wife Ali Hewson for an intimate dinner party at Sass’ Café, where they enjoyed an elaborate meal washed down with red wine and champagne on Friday night.
Although Brad’s pregnant partner Angelina Jolie didn’t join them, Bono’s bandmate The Edge was there along with Monaco’s Prince Albert. The cafe’s maitre de said: “It was really quite a surprise. It wasn’t organised in advance. We only got called on it that afternoon.”
The meal, which began at 10pm, was finished off with a strawberry cake lit with candles. A staff member described the party as “tres speciale”.
Last week, Angelina – who is rumoured to be pregnant with twins – and Brad took their four children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh, to visit Bono’s home in Eze, France.
The superstar couple are currently in France to prepare for the birth of their rumoured twin daughters. Brad and Angelina have forged a close bond with Bono and his family as they only live 15 minutes away.
Justin Chambers, Alex from Grey’s Anatomy, has spoken out about his sleep disorder. He explains that it was this disorder that sent him to check into UCLA Medical Center.
Justin explains, “It’s an issue that I’ve had for a while. It’s a biological sleep disorder. Your mind keeps racing, and your body is tired. It wants to go to sleep, but it can’t.
Justin and his wife Keisha have five children. He said it ended up that he was only sleeping about an hour a week. He said, “I got to my wit’s end.”
Apparently, Mel Gibson and some business partners purchased several properties in Agoura Hills, California, under some trusts. A bod was found hanging inside one of those homes on Sierra Creek Road.
The victim was a 48 year old white male. It was an apparent suicide, but police are still conducting a homicide investigation.
Mel’s rep says that Mel is not aware of any ongoing projects in that area. Although he is a part owner in the property, a spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department says, “There is no indication that Mel Gibson had anything to do with this or knew about this.”

The ‘Hung Up’ singer, who married Guy in 2000, is planning a star-studded summer ceremony to reaffirm her commitment to the film director. The couple will also exchange eternity rings.
A source said: “Renewing their vows is the one way Guy and Madonna can show the world they are strong. They have worked hard to iron out their differences to get through the tough times. It is going to be very emotional day and that is why they want the people who are closest to them to share it with them.”

After shooting a movie together like Brokeback Mountain, how can you not be close? Apparently, this is quite the case for Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. The two were good friends, and Jake is the godfather of Heath’s two year old daughter Matilda.
Those around Jake say he is having a really rough time with Heath’s death. A friend says, “Jake is taking this harder than most people.”
Those on the set of Jake’s current film project say his mood has gone from playful to somber in the days following Heath’s death. The director is working around any personal leave Jake needs to take.
Daniel Day-Lewis won the Screen Actors Guild award for outstanding male actor in There Will Be Blood. While accepting the award, he paid tribute to Heath Ledger.
He said that Heath was “an inspiration” and “unique”. Daniel said, “Of course, in Brokeback Mountain he was unique. He was perfect. And that scene in the trailer at the end of the film was as moving as anything I’ve ever seen.”
Later, he was asked why he chose to dedicate his award to Heath. Daniel’s response was, “I suppose that’s all I’ve been thinking about for the last few days. I never met him. I thought he was beautiful. I just have a very strong feeling that I would have liked him very much as a man…I admired him very much.”
There’s nothing sweeter than welcoming your son home from jail. That’s exactly what Donald Sutherland did Thursday night in Santa Monica. He and son Keifer enjoyed dinner at the Brass Cup.
Keifer served 48 days in jail for a DUI conviction and probation violation. He had to stay in over Christmas and his birthday. This was the first time the two had seen each other since that sentence started in December.

Actor Matthew McConaughey announced on his website Tuesday that he and his girlfriend Camila Alves are expecting a child together. He says on his site, “It’s three months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life.”
Matthew is 38 and Camila is a mere 24. They met when the Brazillian model moved to L.A. Matthew’s rep says, “He is euphoric. He couldn’t be happier.”

Remember Brad Renfro? He was Huck Finn to Jonathan Taylor Thomas’ Tom Sawyer in the 90s version of Tom and Huck.
Brad, age 25, was found dead in Los Angeles at an apartment where he spent the night with friends after partying and drinking. No word yet on an official cause of death; rumors abound about possible drug overdose, due mainly to Brad’s previous problems with substance abuse.
Sources say that friends heard him snoring throughout the night but then found him not breathing in the morning. They called 911, and Brad was pronounced dead at the scene around 9 a.m. Tuesday by responders.
Fergie is the first to tell you that she’s totally in love with longtime boyfriend Josh Duhamel. But she’ll also tell you they aren’t getting married - or even engaged - any time soon.

Well, it may be newly UNweds soon if Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon don’t correct their “irreconcilable differences”. Pam filed for divorce Friday in L.A., after a mere 2 months of marriage.
However, a posting today on her website said that they were “working on it”. And the couple was spotted out shopping together today in Maliby. So, maybe there’s hope after all. But geez, no one is perfectly happy in the first 2 months…you can’t go running around filing for divorce every time he makes you cry.

Well it may have been his first knockout but Ricky Hatton really was seeing stars after his defeat against Floyd Mayweather this weekend. Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie went back to the dressing room after the fight to make sure that Ricky suffered no lasting damage.
Well I know it was a career breaking moment, but I bet Ricky was dead chuffed. Especially being as Angelina was accompanied by Brad Pitt.
The couple sat less than 20ft away from the spot where brave Brit Ricky was knocked out in the tenth round. It was the first boxing match Angelina had seen up close and she visibly grimaced when he went down.
Ricky vows he will return; saying, “Mayweather was better than I thought. Sorry, everybody, it wasn’t my night, but I will be back.”
In a surprise visit to the rehearsal studios of The Spice Girls, film stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, along with 19th month old daughter Suri; were treated to an impromptu private performance.It seems that having friends like Victoria and David Beckham on their speed dial has there bonuses. Following the surprise visit, Victoria said: “David and I are great friends with Tom and Katie. It was lovely of them to come down to rehearsals, a really nice surprise.
“Katie has told me before that she used to be a huge Spice Girls fan, so it was great for her to meet the other girls.”
Apparently this is what makes news these days. In essence some people went to visit friends where they had a sing song and a boogie. But because they are famous the world has to know about it. I sigh in exasperation and say good for them.
On a more relevant note, The Spice Girls are joining the reunion wagon and their tour kicks off in December. Is it the in thing for old bands to reunite this year?
The pop wreck that is known as Britney Spears was seen at Petco over the weekend. Seeing as her Thanksgiving plans are still unknown, a reporter took the liberty to ask her if she was going to take up Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus’ offer to join them on Turkey day.
Earlier this past week, In Touch reported that Billy Ray invited Britney to dinner with his family because his family cares and that Miley, who happens to be a big fan, wants to reach out to Brit.
As for her answer, Britney said yes. Can you just imagine the conversation at the table? But even though she confirmed attending, do consider her track record. Miley might as well start passing the yams already.

Apparently Tom has donned a fat suit for a surprise guest spot in Ben Stiller’s upcoming comedy Tropic Thunder. He wore the bald, flabby, hairy-chested prosthetics to star in a secret cameo in the film.
Tom’s people have asked that the picture not be shown at this time, either on websites or magazines. While we’d love to show it to you here, we’ll respect that - for now. Let Tom’s people have their fun. (Even though the funny pics of the man couldn’t do anything but HELP his current image.)
The movie Tropic Thunder is about actors who are recreating a war and end up engaging in real life fighting. Tom and Ben Stiller are also in talks of costarring in a comedy called Hardy Men, a story of the famous teenage detective brothers as adults.
Sounds like Tom is hardy enough in this current film….
That would be the sound of champagne corks popping over at Court TV. A Las Vegas judge ruled Wednesday that prosecutors have enough evidence to take O.J. Simpson and two alleged accomplices to trial on charges of robbing two sports memorabilia collectors at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room. I hope they finally fry his ***! I also would like to know how that jury sleeps at night. Their excuses for acquitting him was inexcusable, and for those of you who say he was found not guilty, let me say, you are incorrect. Being acquitted is not being found not guilty. I would like to know if Simpson is following through with his promise to find the real killers??? Oh, yes, he did, he admitted to killing them in his book. No one would write such a book when they have children by the woman who was murdered, just more proof he killed the mother of his children.
This is what happens when you marry early. Kate married early and didn’t really get anything out of her system and now she’s older and she should be settling down but instead she’s whoring around. Sadly she has a kid that has to see a new man in mom’s life on a weekly basis. Weekly basis, is something what I am saying not to hurt her images but because just a week or two at the most ago I heard of Kate and Owen exchanging emails and phone calls and that too quite frequently so I thought that the two are looking to patch up and find a new lease of life together. Well if any of the two stories are true then she is really playing the hookers game well here, she clearly needs to get her priorities right whether she wants to be a successful actress or successful in love life.
Actor Vince Vaughn has slammed aspiring actors who enter the profession just to find fame. The Wedding Crashers star believes youngsters in Hollywood no longer care about acting skills, as their only desire is to become a celebrity. I admit to being a shameless celebrity-hound, even going so far as to hotel-hop in the hopes of sighting my favorite celebs (see my link below), but I agree with Vaughan on this one. There are too many actors in Hollywood today who are utterly devoid of talent and seek only adulation. I won’t name any, but we all know who they are . . .Just for instance look at Paris Hilton, first she says she is going to Rwanda for aid and charity work only to postpone it and of course she is not going to miss the new years’ eve bash at the Lax or where ever she wants to party and the same goes for innumerable celebrities. They just will do and say anything to hog the limelight.
24 star Kiefer Sutherland blames fans for his jail sentence for driving under the influence, and is refusing to sign anymore autographs. The actor will spend Christmas behind bars after being sentenced to 48 days behind bars, following his arrest in September. It could be possible that he is reacting to bad news and said something out of character. In a case like this, where you will be spending some time in jail, probably detoxing in the process, anybody would be likely to lash out and blame others, it is a normal human behavior and most celebrities are not celebrated for their common sense, grace under pressure, or normal view on life. Besides it could have been taken out of context or never said. Comment not to demish his personal responsibility, you drink and drive as much as he probably has, you accept the risks, you had one free one, now it is jail time, which he of course deserves, as any one of use would get some time in the stripped home for our second DUI.
Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan is being investigated on possible assault charges against a photographer, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department said on Tuesday. Brosnan got into a scuffle when the photographer started to compliment the actor on his James Bond films. Brosnan reacted by cursing Rosen and hitting him in the ribs while the photographer kicked the actor. Well I can’t understand that why the hell do these photogs need to go out and irritate the actors, Pierce was at a mall and just moving here and there enjoying himself, but these paps needs to spoil the day by going and talking to them and telling hey just one click please and one more click please, won’t that irritate him or anyone for that matter (if you are a celebrity that is). He must have assaulted Brosnan and Brosnan must and returned the favor without losing time. I love Pierce Brosnan and he was out of the world with his performances in the Bond movies and just for his acting and stunts I give him the benefit of doubt.

My prayers have always gone out to Owen since this whole think started. Obviously he’s in some kind of pain and it’s none of our business. All we (at least me) want to know is that he’s ok and/or getting better. He gives us a lot of pleasure through his work and the least we can do is let him live his PERSONAL PRIVATE life as he needs to and take care of himself. He’ll tell us whatever and whenever he feels like it.

Jessica Simpson and Willie Nelson were in Austin, Texas recently to shoot a video for Willie’s new single. Joining them on the shoot were good pals Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson.
Now, I somewhat understand the Jessica and Willie connection but I just don’t understand the Owen and Woody connection. And what the heck are they doing in the background? Is it me or does this look like the Texas version of Brokeback Mountain?
It’s too strange for my taste. You would think that having Jessica Simpson there would be enough. But no, they had to put the Owen and Woody Brokeback image in my mind. Yikes!
Actress Melanie Griffith insists her past addiction to drugs and alcohol was hereditary. The 50-year-old began taking cocaine and binge drinking as a teenager - but Griffith believes she was only tempted because of her genes. I am sure a lot does have to do with heredity - I know of a grandfather - his son and his grandson - all that died of fatal car accidents and all were drinking - very sad - BUT there is a thing called accountability and don’t start drinking if you THINK it is hereditary. Then if you do - only blame yourself! Like come on are we all such pessimistic people that we’ve seen are parents smoke so we could allow ourselves to smoke, my dad use to smoke casually but I smoke regularly and that’s not my dad’s fault. I take it solely upon me that I have not been able to quit smoking in all the years that I have trying to quit it. So Mel you need to be stubborn to the extent of saying either I die today of alcohol consumption or live to die another day with it. I think I’d have a fag now.
Pamela Anderson is shooting down rumors she was in a shotgun wedding with Rick Salomon and insists she isn’t pregnant. Pregnant or not pregnant she should first try to look a decent person for her age, I am not saying that she cannot wear skimpy clothes but that’s got to be occasionally when one’s attending at playboy bash or something. Everyday makes her look a whore which she is and always tends to look like. I hate to break this to you, but you are now 40 years old. On top of that, you have had kids and spent a substantial portion of your life partying like a Kennedy. Please do us all a favor and stop dressing like a 20 year old trying to trade sex for Old Milwaukee at a frat house. It’s no longer sexy. It’s actually somewhere between scary and sad. You are still an attractive 40 years old. Buy some clothes that are age appropriate so the rest of us can stop gagging when we are forced to view pictures of you. Thanks for the effort,
Katie Holmes was photographed arriving at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, Germany. She was unusually dressed up considering the fact that she was at the airport but I think I know why. She might be taking the kid to some national sanctuary to have a day out in her private jet or something. Well I’d personally love it if my mom took me out to see some wildlife with the craze that I might be able to spot some rare species and come back home zooming in a private jet with some cool photographs to treasure. Personally this picture is one of the recently good pics to Katie, she has her own dressing style and though this one is a formal dress I am sure she would have changed to something more casual during the flight. And if she is going to a national park or leisurely places then I think she has made a fool out of her self in this dress, well what ever she decides to wear she does look very nice and cool in whatever she does.
