Brad Pitt helped Bono celebrate his 48th birthday in Monaco over the weekend.
The ‘Fight Club’ star joined the U2 frontman and his wife Ali Hewson for an intimate dinner party at Sass’ Café, where they enjoyed an elaborate meal washed down with red wine and champagne on Friday night.
Although Brad’s pregnant partner Angelina Jolie didn’t join them, Bono’s bandmate The Edge was there along with Monaco’s Prince Albert. The cafe’s maitre de said: “It was really quite a surprise. It wasn’t organised in advance. We only got called on it that afternoon.”
The meal, which began at 10pm, was finished off with a strawberry cake lit with candles. A staff member described the party as “tres speciale”.
Last week, Angelina – who is rumoured to be pregnant with twins – and Brad took their four children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh, to visit Bono’s home in Eze, France.
The superstar couple are currently in France to prepare for the birth of their rumoured twin daughters. Brad and Angelina have forged a close bond with Bono and his family as they only live 15 minutes away.
Well it may have been his first knockout but Ricky Hatton really was seeing stars after his defeat against Floyd Mayweather this weekend. Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie went back to the dressing room after the fight to make sure that Ricky suffered no lasting damage.

Brad Pitt came to his girlfriend Angelina Jolie’s rescue at the European premiere of her new film Beowulf on Sunday, by helping her cover-up when her leather pants split at the back. Pitt and Jolie were on the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square when the actress’ skin-tight black leather trousers started to unstitch around her bottom. I think that it was really an embarrassing thing for her. I can imagine how I would feel if I were d 1.but nice thinking brad. Way 2 go! I am surprised AJ even takes the time to explain her sex life to anyone! It is none of any body’s business. Just because the public has made her notorious, does not mean that she is a X@@##!. Everyone should perhaps take note that she goes where she wants to, the photographers take pics of her constantly, but she leads her life her way. A picture of the Mr and Mrs Smith co-stars and their youngest daughter Shiloh has been made into a stamp.
A New Idea magazine spokesman said, “These stamps are sure to become instantly collectible and be sought after by philatelists around the country.”
The Hollywood A-List couple will join the likes of the Queen, the Pope and the nation’s sporting heroes by being immortalized in a fifty-cent stamp, issued by Australia Post.
The picture to be placed on the stamp includes Pitt and Jolie along with their daughter Shiloh.
A spokesperson from New Idea said that Australia would become the first country to feature Brad and Angelina on a stamp.
“I don’t know of any other country in the world that has ever had Brad and Angelina on a stamp,” the AAP quoted the New Idea spokesman, as saying.
“Whatever the case, these stamps are sure to become instantly collectible and be sought after by philatelists around the country,” the spokesman added.

Brad Pitt will revamp one of Steve McQueen’s most iconic roles in remake of 1960s classic movie Bullitt, according to internet reports. The Hollywood hunk will play Lt. Frank Bullitt in the new version of the 1968 movie. In the original, McQueen played a maverick detective hunting a hitman who has killed his fellow officers. The film is renowned for featuring one of the best car chases in cinema history. oh please………like that would even be possible that he could fill steve’s shoes. brad is a big pansy, he would have to surgically remove at least 1 if not 2 kids from his hips to act in a movie, and get that idiotic hat off his greasy head and then you would have to make him take a bath something i’m not sure he is familiar with. Angelina Jolie’s brother flew to Europe to help her sister through the first Mother’s Day after their mother passed away, it has been reported.
Angelina’s elder brother James Heaven went to Prague where the actress is shooting her new film “Wanted” to be with her sister on May 13.
Angelina and James were devastated after their mother Marcheline Bertrand wasn’t able to beat her ovarian cancer and passed away in January.
A source is quoted by Britain’s Daily Express newspaper as saying: “They spent the night crying, looking at photos of Marcheline and talking about their childhood. James then spent a few days in Prague with his sister, her partner Brad Pitt and their children to make sure Angelina was back on her feet before he returned to the US.”
In an interview after their mother’s death James-also an actor- revealed that he and his sister feel as orphans although their father Jon Voight is alive.
James said: ”There were times when our father was awesome but my biggest memory is that he would look more to our faults than to our strengths, and that’s what was so hard. Now that our mother has died we’re two orphans, Angie and I, so she has a deep understanding of the orphans she adopts.”
Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt have three adopted kids- five-year-old Maddox, Zahara, two and three-year-old Pax Thien. They also have their own child- a one-year-old daughter Shiloh.
Another interesting fact about the couple is that they’re expected to get married pretty soon. Maybe this will help Angelina to overcome her mother’s death finally and be happy with her big family.
