Anne Hathaway’s con-man ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri is seeking leniency in his federal case for conspiracy and wire fraud. However, prosecutors (and I’m sure the defense also) we’re surprised when Raffaello sent the judge pictures of himself with the pope and other high-ranking priests, according to the AP:
They urged the judge Thursday to impose the more than four years in prison that Raffaello Follieri agreed to when he entered a guilty plea last month rather than the three years his defense lawyers requested in a recent submission of their own.
The prosecutors said Follieri included pictures of the pope and other clergymen even though his claims of Vatican ties were the foundation of his fraud.
“This is surprising because Follieri used these same photographs and connections in order to defraud investors and now seeks to use them in an effort to obtain a reduced sentence,” they said.
Who would be so stupid to send fake pictures the judge? That’s like O.J. trying to prove his innocence by stabbing another wife.
See you behind bars Raffa.

Pop star George Michael reportedly cried his way out of a drug conviction. After cops caught the singer with crack cocaine and pot while he was loitering for sex at a public restroom, he begged for them to not hand him a conviction as it would kill his career. His new tangled with the law could easily get him barred from the US where he has an AIDS benefit gig this month. He claimed that his charity could lose £2million (about US$4 million) if he could not go. A source told the paper “He was very emotional. He kept saying, ‘Please, you’ll ruin my career’. His sob story worked – he escaped with a caution. He was even chauffeured home.

Some people say that the name has a major effect on the personality of the person.

Whether it is right or wrong, but Heather Locklear is “Locked” behind bars by police in Montecito.

At least there are some effects of the name on the personality. Is it the locking effect or mere coincidence?

The former “Melrose Place” actress was arrested while she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance at around 8 PM.

The gorgeous 4-year-old lady was released after she was bailed out for US$5,000 later at 11 PM.

Heather Locklear recently checked herself into rehab to fight her ongoing depression and left the rehab centre in late July.

Kanye West has broken his silence regarding his arrest at Los Angeles International Airport for being a tad too aggressive with paparazzi and vandalizing his camera. The rapper turned to his blog recently and said the following about the incident: “We back in the lab!!! I’m cool with the paparazzi. This guy wasn’t cool. I gotta work now… I’ll rant later!” Somehow, I don’t believe the part where he says that he’s cool with the paparazzi – at least not after that incident. He may want to watch out for other pap encounters. He may be on the receiving end of a beating if he’s not careful.

If you’re wondering just why DMX has that smartass smirk on his face in his newest mug shot, it’s because he knows we’re all trying to figure out just which one of the gazillion charges he’s facing this time around. It took a little while but I think I figured it out. The rapper was extradited from Florida recently where he finally pleaded guilty to drug charges just so he can go fight some more drug charges over in Arizona. He’s out one jail and is going back into another. Once all his cash bonds get paid, I’m pretty sure DMX will be back out on the road committing more crimes that should qualify him for a world record.
