Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora was arrested Tuesday in Laguna Beach on charges of DUI. Also in the car with him was his girlfriend, his ten year old daughter, and another unidentified juvenile girl.

He was stopped just after 10:52 pm after he was seen weaving in and out of traffic. Police Sargent Jason Kravetz said, “He smelled of alcohol” so he was given a blood alcohol test. He was later released and is schedule to show up for court on May 7.

There’s nothing sweeter than welcoming your son home from jail. That’s exactly what Donald Sutherland did Thursday night in Santa Monica. He and son Keifer enjoyed dinner at the Brass Cup.

Keifer served 48 days in jail for a DUI conviction and probation violation. He had to stay in over Christmas and his birthday. This was the first time the two had seen each other since that sentence started in December.

It could be possible that he is reacting to bad news and said something out of character. In a case like this, where you will be spending some time in jail, probably detoxing in the process, anybody would be likely to lash out and blame others, it is a normal human behavior and most celebrities are not celebrated for their common sense, grace under pressure, or normal view on life. Besides it could have been taken out of context or never said. Comment not to demish his personal responsibility, you drink and drive as much as he probably has, you accept the risks, you had one free one, now it is jail time, which he of course deserves, as any one of use would get some time in the stripped home for our second DUI.

Law enforcement sources say Lindsay Lohan is not going to be charged with cocaine possession in connection with her two DUI arrests.

One of the socialite’s charged with DUI has actually proved herself to be mature after all. Nicole Richie has spoken about her assigned jail time coming up before September. She believes it’s a blessing in disguise. She knows she could have killed somebody the night she was arrested driving the wrong way down the road. She’s thankful and feels blessed that it never came to that. Nicole is 4 months pregnant and the fact that she is now carrying a life has probably helped her to put her life into perspective. She refuses to try and take the easy way out or cry all the way to prison like Hilton did. Instead she will be ready to accept her punishment because she knows how much worse it could have gotten. It’s actually reassuring to see one of these DUI divas stand up and admit that she was wrong. It would be nice if Lindsay Lohan learned something from Nicole. She will be the one that does kill someone if somebody doesn’t stop her. Kudos to Richie for being strong enough to change.

Matt Damon was recently the receiver of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also recently spoke to the press about fellow actor Lindsay Lohan. He commented on Lohan saying that he believes she will bounce back because “she is very talented”. Lohan was arrested Tuesday morning on a second DUI charge. He does go on to add something more intelligent. He mentions how hard it must be for someone with an addiction trapped on the inside. It’s anyone’s guess why Damon has so much to say about Lindsay. As far as I know they aren’t especially close but I could be wrong about that. Either way the bottom line is that he’s trying to appear supportive when really we all know she’s a spoiled little brat that needs a driver and a limit on her spending. What happened to the days when stars always travelled by limo? It would sure eliminate the DUI charges.

The singer spoke out on Tuesday just hours after Lindsay Lohan was arrested for drunk driving and drug possession after a car chase in Santa Monica - and two months after the actress was involved in a drunken car crash in L.A. Which transport system tells u to first get fully drunken and then run the cars on the roads of any city you live in. This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. Which transport or police dept. tells u it’s a rule to have drugs in the car before you set out on a drive? Tell me which transport would these Hollywood celebs chose to move around. They can easily hire drivers to help escort them in every city they are in.

The well known rapper has been ordered to wear an ankle bracelet that monitors for alcohol consumption for forty-five days. She entered a no contest plea on Thursday regarding a charge that she was driving with higher than the legal limit of alcohol in her blood stream. She didn’t appear at the Supreme Court herself but her lawyer was present to enter the plea in her place. She has been ordered to appear in court herself on July 20 to show proof that she has entered into drug treatment programs. This is really getting out of control. Incidents like this are almost expected from the young tarts like Hilton and Lohan. Someone a little older and hopefully more mature shouldn’t be caught in these situations but instead be setting an example for the others. Is there no end to the idiocy in Hollywood? Every time we turn around the news is full of drunken celebrity mishaps which is really reaching the point of beyond pathetic.
