Britney Spears needs her father’s permission to return to her hometown.

The troubled singer, who went to Kentwood, Louisiana, recently for her younger sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower, had to ask her dad Jamie if she was allowed to make the trip.

A friend of the star said: ‘He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It’s not that he doesn’t want her there for her little sister. It’s just that he thinks it’s best to keep Britney close to home right now.”

The friend also revealed Britney - who hadn’t visited Kentwood for 16 months before the shower - is planning a second trip after promising Jamie Lynn she would be there for the birth of her baby.

The source added: “At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time. I’m not sure how Casey is going to feel about that. But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited.”

Britney’s father Jamie is currently co-conservator of her estate, meaning he has control of her business and personal affairs. Jamie Lynn and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are expecting their first baby on June 29.

Halle Berry and baby daddy Gabriel Aubry welcomed a baby girl on Sunday. Now, the baby’s name has been revealed. Ladies and gentleman, join me in welcoming Nahla Ariela Aubry.

The name “Nahla” means “honeybee” in Arabic. Halle says, “We didn’t have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital. For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her.”

She tells People, “Nicole and I have been playing together since we were two years old. I was just telling her, ‘I want a baby so that our babies can play together.’”

Problem is – she doesn’t even have a boyfriend right now! Although, with stars going to other countries and bringing back swarms of children, it may just be easier to do than she thinks. All she needs is a visa and enough money to bribe a small country – oh wait, she has that already doesn’t she?

Pregnant Halle Berry is winning her battle with diabetes, thanks to a healthy diet and good living. The actress was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes after she passed out while shooting a show called Living Dolls when she first arrived in Hollywood. As a Mother of a Type 1 diabetic child I have not liked what has been said about diabetic people in general. I don’t care if Halle has T1 or T2, both are serious chronic illnesses that require care and attention. However, in T1 diabetes, without insulin people die, this is fact. And, you cannot, by diet and exercise, hope, or prayer change that to Type 2, and you cannot stop insulin - ever. Perhaps before implying to the world, which includes a group of young impressionable kids, that they can “ween” themselves off of a medicine that keeps them alive, she should check to make sure that is accurate and that comment isn’t going to cause one of those impressionable kids to harm themselves. I can tell you, she has caused a lot of waves in the diabetes communities today with this one incredibly ill advised comment.

Katie Holmes was photographed arriving at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, Germany. She was unusually dressed up considering the fact that she was at the airport but I think I know why. She might be taking the kid to some national sanctuary to have a day out in her private jet or something. Well I’d personally love it if my mom took me out to see some wildlife with the craze that I might be able to spot some rare species and come back home zooming in a private jet with some cool photographs to treasure. Personally this picture is one of the recently good pics to Katie, she has her own dressing style and though this one is a formal dress I am sure she would have changed to something more casual during the flight. And if she is going to a national park or leisurely places then I think she has made a fool out of her self in this dress, well what ever she decides to wear she does look very nice and cool in whatever she does.

Us Weekly magazine is cashing in one of the worst kept secrets of 2007–the Jennifer Lopez pregnancy. Lopez, who has yet to confirm her pregnancy graces the cover of their next issue, entitled, “Yes, She’s Pregnant!” I hope it is true…obviously with that baby bump it is, but i hope that she is finally having twins and they have two healthy babies. I want to see Marc handcuffed because he probably will run down the street like a madman! I LOVE YOU JENNIFER AND MARC Anthony. It’s wonderful news since she has wanted kids for awhile. I think the reason she isn’t saying much, like Christina, is because she wants to have a little control over the situation. Of course it’s no secret…she is absolutely glowing. But if she has still not confirmed that she is indeed and the mag is telling on its cover that she is then why doesn’t she say it herself, like is she doing this as a marketing gimmick to sort of have us thinking oh is she isn’t, when is she going to confirm all, very smart!

Former Mexican soap star turned pop star and entrepreneur Thalia, along with her husband, music mogul Tommy Mottola, welcomed their first child on Sunday. They are now proud parents of a bouncing baby girl they named Sabrina. She weighed in at 8 pounds and 4 ounces. Thalia was said to be in labor for about 20 hours! Wow! Mom and baby are now resting comfortably.

I wonder if Sabrina would turn out like her mama. Let’s hope she inherits all the talent and all that beauty her mom has. And of course, all the money her papa has. Lucky girl.

Things might be looking up for Britney Spears because she has finally reunited with her mother. I think the reason Britney resented her mom is because mama was right about everything. Told her not to marry Kevin, wait before you have kids, stop going out every night before you lose the kids, go to rehab, get off drugs etc… For a know it all like Britney, I bet that burned her ass. It’s her mama who is gonna help her get out of the gutter, not her druggie friends. All the time everyone who had the slightest of concern for Britney said that she needs some help and if someone can clam her down and make her feel save and secure and wanted then her self confidence shall grow incredibly and the only ones who can help you at trying times is your own family and all those who say they want to help only want to be a part of the hype of her life and no one means to do anything good. Let’s wait and give her time she might just surprise us all even from here.

If the recent Spears-Federline court hearing is anything to go by, it looks like things are going great for KFed.

After a hearing for the reconsideration of a judge’s orders regarding the custody of Sean and Jayden, a judge has ordered that both parents show up at the next custody hearing on October 26. Until then, Kevin Federline will retain custody of the two boys while Britney Spears will get monitored visitation.

Both sides presented evidence at the hearing and Kevin reportedly felt that the ruling was justified. While their presence wasn’t really required, it hurts Britney’s case that she wasn’t present for the 3-hour hearing.

Halle Berry is so superstitious she has kept the 35 negative pregnancy tests she took before one proved she was with child. The Oscar winner instinctively knew she was a mom-to-be but at home tests left her bewildered. Halle, you just turned 41, August 14. You ran with the clock and it appears, you have beaten it. So let go of the bat and throw those rancid, negative “test sticks” out, you made a home run. The test sticks will only remind you of passed failures. And Halle you should be a positive person not a pessimist, look at the mortality rates elsewhere in the world and you will feel that there are so many mother’s who have suffered more pain and disappointment than you ever.

God Bless Jenny for using her fame to give a platform to the subject of Autism. When my son was 2 yrs old I was told by a doctor to put him away in an institution. My gut instinct said “NO!” He is now 20, volunteers at a local hospital, works 2 paid jobs and has a letter from President Bush for his years of volunteer service. Not bad for a young man that supposedly would always live in his own little world (according to the so-called medical expert)! For all you parents out there don’t give up the fight! Trust your gut instincts, and keep going! Break throughs come in spurts, and you can never know when it will happen. There is a reason mothers of those with autism are so fierce in the fight. God chose me and all of you exactly because he knew who to bless these children to for the battles ahead. Stay strong and God Bless all of You!

David Beckham was in a somber mood yesterday as he rushed off from LAX to go visit his ill dad. He had just gotten the word that his 59 year-old Father had had a heart attack. David and his father were not on the best of terms because in 2002 Ted split from wife of 32 years Sandra. Disputes and misunderstandings apart, this is not the time when any son or daughter whose had a break-up or are not on talking terms to remember their old grievances. It is time that all bad things are forgotten and it is time to be besides your parents and look after them. David has done the right thing by leaving for UK and by not wasting any more time in USA. He’s got many contracts I know that but there is nothing more important in your life other than your family.

Comedy star Adam Sandler drives his friends crazy by talking non-stop about his baby daughter. The actor is so obsessed with fatherhood he sometimes wakes his 16-month-old daughter Sadie just so he can play with her. I’m glad to see a parent (celeb or not) so involved. Agree with just asking though, let the poor kid sleep already. Look guys with could be real fun, he is a comedian and he must love to play pranks everywhere he goes, so basically he is teaching her the art of humor at mid-night what could be more hilarious than seeing your daughter in the blanket at two in the morning looking so cute and then you just cannot stop yourself from wanting to speak to her. Adam you are so cute at this, any father who gets so involved with a baby so much must really be having the heart fall over for his daughter. By the time she is 5 – 7 years old she would certainly have learnt a lot from him and start playing pranks on him.

They’ve been happily married for two years and counting but Demi Moore never took Ashton Kutcher’s name until now. Last week she said that there are not enough good roles in Hollywood for the women above the age of 40, so what does she think that the name change would change her fortunes in Hollywood and land her a grandma’s role in Harry Potter or something why does she except that all those cosmetic changes have damages her skin and looks way too much and she isn’t looking good at all these days. Even grandmas have to look beautiful in our beauty crazy world of today.

There exists something we all call self medication but these celebrities like to go the rehabs these days to show that they want to get clean. You don’t wake up one fine morning and say ‘you know what, I think I’ll go do drugs and embarrass myself coz no one’s writing and talking about me despite my life being so happening, wonderful and so perfect. I think the point of Jodie’s comments were that a lot of the trouble and problems that Lindsay originally got into were a direct result of her parents not putting ANY boundaries on her. She was allowed to sleep with men 3x her age, party at all hours of the night, even allowed to drink - all at the age of 14+. Any mother (or father for that matter), who would allow their child that kind of leniency is an idiot. Especially to then come out and say it’s not their fault. It dam sure is your fault! Try some discipline; try NOT partying with your kids and setting a mature and decent example. Lindsay’s behavior is exactly what she learned growing up.

Jodie Foster takes a direct stab at Dina Lohan’s parenting skills by asking the blunt question “where is her mother?” But you’ve got to give it to Jodie, while it’s really not her business, she’s totally right. But isn’t there something that tell you that Hollywood is finally taking a stand and commenting on its troubled members and co-stars. Well there’s already a anti-Paris Hilton group out there and the members are growing by the day and please don’t ask me to name them coz forgotten the count. And now Lindsay is being targeted by Hollywood for her bad behavior and other problems that Lindsay keep getting herself into. It’s totally true and it’s funny because Lindsay Lohan thinks she is the most famous person in Hollywood. If she didn’t have all these troubles, no one would care about her. It’s her troubles that keep her famous. And it’s a planned thing by Lohan to stay in the news she has do keep doing something worth reporting and henceforth remain a celebrity. So what will happen to her after rehab? Hopefully she’ll go away and realize how obnoxious she is.
