British film director Guy Ritchie has annoyed neighbours with the noise level coming from his London pub.

The 40-year-old, who was once married to pop star Madonna, owns The Punchbowl pub in Mayfair in London.

It is claimed sound-monitoring equipment has now been installed after complaints about the noise. If the council decides the noise level is too high then Ritchie could face losing his licence.

Westminster Council has confirmed that it has received 37 complaints about the pub, although Ritchie has tried to reduce the noise by moving revellers indoors by 9pm and hiring door staff.

A spokesman for the council said: “Managers at the pub are aware of this activity and it will take two weeks to complete.”

It was recently reported that the pop star and her husband have recently reached a common point in regards to their divorce. Apparently, Guy Richie will simply walk away without touching any of Madonna’s money, but taking two of the couple’s three children with him. A source had this to say: “The priority for Guy has always been the children.” And also: “He is a very honorable man to have walked away.” Don’t know about honorable, but he probably is smart for getting rid of the witch… and saving the kids from her too. Oh well, looks like another one went down the drain again… who’s got the champagne?
