Britney Spears’ recent troubles have reportedly cost her nearly $61 million.

The ‘Toxic’ singer’s father Jamie, who is also co-conservator of her estate, made the shocking discovery after examining Britney’s accounts.

A source close to the Spears family said: “It’s staggering how much money has been used up since February 2007.”

Britney - who lost custody of her two children to ex-husband Kevin Federline before being admitted to a psychiatric ward earlier this year - has been forced to spend huge amounts on legal bills and psychiatric care.

Independent accountant Robert Bianchi - who is not involved in the Spears care - also estimates the 26-year-old singer lost out on a staggering $50 million by not touring to promote her most recent record ‘Blackout’.

However, thanks to her father’s stringent controls of her purse strings, Britney is said to now be back on track. The source added: “It’s been quite a challenge getting things under control. But now she’s spending about a fifth of what she used to.”

Life & Style is reporting that Britney Spears got so moved by the storied told on ‘Idol Gives Back’ on Wednesday that the recovering starlet actually donated $25,000 to the cause. A Spears family insider backs up the story saying “She did it all on her own. She watched the show and cried for like two hours over the children in Africa with malaria. She didn’t know much about the disease, so she Googled it. She was horrified to realize kids were dying from mosquito bites. So she went online and donated after getting [her dad] Jamie’s permission. She used her Amex.” Go Britney!

The Lunch Lady from Survivor: China didn’t win the grand prize, but she did get a fat one from Survivor producer Mark Burnett after she announced that she lost her job after being on the show. He forked over $50,000 bucks to Denise Martin.

This happened Sunday night. The former cafeteria worker was, by Tuesday, was having to explain some allegations that she misled us, based on a press release from the superintendent of the Douglas, Mass., school district. The superintendent says, “Although Mrs. Martin was a cafeteria employee prior to her selection as a contestant, she asked to be considered for a promotion to full-time custodian, and was promoted to this position on March 30, 2007. This promotion came with additional benefits and a higher salary. Following her leave, she then returned to this same position.”

Denise’s response: “Nancy has been outstanding to me…I appreciate everything they’ve done, and I’m sorry. I apologize to everybody. If none of this had happened, I could never say I’m sorry enough.”

Let’s hope she returns the money that is rightfully Burnett’s and figures out where to get a decent haircut.

Amy Winehouse has reportedly made a suicide pact with her husband. The singer is set to be questioned by the police over husband Blake Fielder-Civil’s charges of assault and allegedly perverting the course of justice. She could face prison if she gets linked to the conspiracy to clear Blake. If she gets parted from her husband by a lengthy jail sentence, Wino has reportedly vowed to kill herself.A witness on Blake’s case was said to have been offered £200,000 to change his story. Since Blake is not a wealthy man, the finger points to Amy. The office of the singer’s accountant was searched last week so police could review all her transactions.

Maybe she’s decided to sell off some of her things on Ebay to pay for the lighter she snatched. Or maybe someone else is just out to makesome money off of her. Either way…

A former bodyguard for Lindsay Lohan is suing American Media, the parent company of Star Magazine, for mistakenly publishing his photo in an article in which a Lohan bodyguard blabs about her crazy moments.

An article was published in June and says, “The drugs, the guns, the wild sex, and the cutting - the man who witnessed it all reveals Lindsay Lohan’s darkest moments.” It lists the beans-spiller as a man named Lee Weaver.

The name is right - it was the photo that was wrong. Instead of printing a pic of Weaver, they printed one of former bodyguard Andrae Renard. Renard is now suing them, saying they damaged his career as a bodyguard due to their “libelous use of his photograph”. He also says he’s been “banned from entering certain elite Hollywood nightclubs”.

Star says they printed a retraction and removed the article from their website as soon as they learned of the mistake. Renard still asked for a reported million dollars because of the mistake.

Hmm, he can’t get into a night club? Well, heck yeah, he deserves the money. Heaven forbid they cost him his fun!

I’m not sure if it’s part of his mourning or he’s just ready to move on, but you can take it for what it’s worth. Kanye West has put his Beverly Hills home on the market.The listing for the rapper’s estate on Crescent Drive in Beverly Hills can be found on Realtor.com and it’s reportedly selling for a cool $8,699,000, calling it ‘a rare offering’. The two-story house is on nearly 35,000 sq. ft. lot has 6 bedrooms, 4 baths and a detached garage. It’s being said that the house is actually a ‘teardown’ and the property is being offered just for the lot.

The estimated monthly payment for the house would be $44,492.
