Paris Hilton has apparently caught the baby bug. She’s dreaming of a child who can grow up to be best friends with Nicole Richie’s soon-to-be-here baby.

She tells People, “Nicole and I have been playing together since we were two years old. I was just telling her, ‘I want a baby so that our babies can play together.’”

Problem is – she doesn’t even have a boyfriend right now! Although, with stars going to other countries and bringing back swarms of children, it may just be easier to do than she thinks. All she needs is a visa and enough money to bribe a small country – oh wait, she has that already doesn’t she?

I’m sorry, but I’m having enough time seeing Nicole as a mommy – can you actually see party-girl Paris settling down? Well, chances are, she’ll beat out Britney for “Mom of the Year”.

Nicole Richie picked a really good day to go jail. With Hollywood preoccupied with Lindsay Lohan’s legal escapades, the pregnant Simple Life star slipped into—and quickly out of—a Los Angeles-area lockup Thursday afternoon, serving exactly 82 minutes of what was supposed to be a four-day sentence. This is just utterly crazy. Freed after only 82 mins…did she actually see the inside of a jail cell or did they just make her stand in line for her jail outfits before cutting her lose. What kinda lesson is learned here? That if you are rich enough and “famous” enough that you skate through life. It’s a crazy world when you drive drunk and high on whatever controlled substance you choose to take and the judge just gives you a nice pat on the head and tells you not to do it again. Maybe its time to reconsider our judicial system because obviously something is not right. If my chosen profession was a judge, I would be so embarrassed on what a mockery these brats of Hollywood have made my profession.

According to concert-goers present at Hot 99.5’s Lil Black Dress Party at the Clarendon Ballroom in Arlington, Virginia, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are happily engaged.

After a 40-minute performance of Good Charlotte, front man Joel walked off the stage which then prompted DJ Kane to announce that he got engaged and gave a big congrats to the couple. Kane told People magazine that they found out about the engagement the morning of the event and that after he congratulated Joel, he was given a ‘thank you so much’ in reply.

It’s not that big of a surprise though as talk show host Regis Philbin leaked the new on-air on Thursday.

Brooke Shields has blamed the legal troubles of stars such as Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie on bad parenting. Shields, who has two children and admits she’s a strict parent, believes Hollywood’s young celebrities would be better behaved if their mothers had brought them up properly. Ha Ha Brooke Shield’s has no sex appeal absolutely any. She reminds me of a prune Danish something that and old man might gum at but really get no enjoyment out of. But she is just another Celebs who using the fame of Paris and the others just to have something of her written about in the media, Brooke Shields, I haven’t heard of her in a long long time, where has she been and what is it about her that she made such comments. She is a mother and she says she a strict parent and that enough for her to be able to make a judgment on the stupid three of Hollywood, may she is envious of them and wants to join their league, too late Brooke you’re too old for that now.

One of the socialite’s charged with DUI has actually proved herself to be mature after all. Nicole Richie has spoken about her assigned jail time coming up before September. She believes it’s a blessing in disguise. She knows she could have killed somebody the night she was arrested driving the wrong way down the road. She’s thankful and feels blessed that it never came to that. Nicole is 4 months pregnant and the fact that she is now carrying a life has probably helped her to put her life into perspective. She refuses to try and take the easy way out or cry all the way to prison like Hilton did. Instead she will be ready to accept her punishment because she knows how much worse it could have gotten. It’s actually reassuring to see one of these DUI divas stand up and admit that she was wrong. It would be nice if Lindsay Lohan learned something from Nicole. She will be the one that does kill someone if somebody doesn’t stop her. Kudos to Richie for being strong enough to change.

I’m sure this is nothing shocking considering that both Hilton and Richie are up their ears in trouble and drama. The Insider reported that the E! network has dropped “The Simple Life” from their line up. Many people have tuned in over the last five seasons to see the two socialites making lame attempts at actual work. It may have been amusing the first time around but it ceased to be entertaining after that. It’s nothing short of amazing that it stayed on the air as long as it did anyway. Fox dropped the show in 2005 which sparked rumors of the end. As well Richie and Hilton were then feuding amongst themselves. Now that Richie is reported to be expecting her rocker boyfriend’s baby and Hilton has been recently jailed, filming has been constantly disrupted. I doubt that anyone would really miss the show anyway.

Nicole Richie has won another round of the waiting game. Richie’s attorney filed a motion Tuesday requesting a delay in the start date of the Simple Life star’s DUI trial because an expert witness central to her defense was not available to testify on Wednesday as scheduled. As a result, the legal eagle asked that the start date of the trial be pushed back until Aug. 13. I hope the judge is not stupid enough to fall for this LAME delay tactic. Put her in jail for 6 months to a year and get it over with. WE DO NOT WANT INTOXICATED DRIVERS ON OUR FREEWAYS! Nicole said: she’s prepared to “take responsibility” that’s what Paris said. And in court she cried for her mommy. Let’s see what Nicole is made of! They are all dolls when it comes to facing the law and all are nasty when on the roads or at night clubs. They want to have it and do it all with the camera spotlight on them and then no cameras when they are at fault.

A source told Life and Style Weekly magazine: “Nicole recently underwent a series of tests, including blood and urine screenings, which confirmed she is pregnant.”
Last Wednesday (30.05.07) - just days after her alcohol-fueled Memorial Day barbecue - Nicole was photographed outside a reproductive clinic.
She is said to be going on a special diet for the sake of her unborn child.
An insider said: “Nicole’s determined to get healthy for her own sake and the baby’s.”
‘The Simple Life’ star’s representative has refused to comment on the reports.
Nicole, the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, is currently dating Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden and the couple are reported to be engaged.
She is facing a possible jail sentence after she was arrested for DUI (driving under the influence) last December
She pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing but the police who arrested her claimed she told them she had taken the painkiller Vicodin and smoked marijuana.
Nicole will be jailed if found guilty as she has a previous conviction for heroin possession.
